Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow
515 Spring Street, Eureka Springs, AR
The Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow presents a special Freunds "Poetluck". The evening begins with a communal meal, featuring homemade dishes from every corner of the kitchen. After dinner, the room comes alive with an open mic where attendees share their latest work in a warm, supportive setting. From poems and essays to songs, scenes, and spontaneous musings, the mic is open to it all (within reason, of course). Whether you’re there to listen or to share, Poetluck is about connection — between neighbors, between artists, and across generations of creativity.

Eureka UU Fellowship
17 Elk Street, Eureka Springs, AR
Included as a segment of our Sunday service, Crescent Dragonwagon will present "Freundly Fire: The Two-Handed Practice of Being Mentored and Passing It On." Included in the program will be opening music by Starr Mitchell & George West of Lark in the Morning on hammered dulcimer and fiddle. They'll perform "As Time Goes By," a song beloved by the Freunds and part of their 50th Anniversary celebration (held at Dairy Hollow House).
Crescent will tell stories about how Louis and Elsie shaped Eureka Springs and many of its individual artists and writers. She will also talk about discovering the responsibility and privilege of being mentored; and its attendant and necessary passing on of the values, practices, community, and generosity one has received. A buffet lunch will be provided following services, featuring several of Elsie’s favorite recipes.
